About us:

The Project Management Office (PMO) serves as a central office, within GIS, for the control and support of Program/Project Management.

PMO underpins the project delivery mechanisms by ensuring that all business change in an organization is managed in a controlled way. Furthermore, it takes responsibility for the quality and value of each project under its care. This involves collaboration with program/project managers as well as reporting to the executive level of the organization. In other words, we are the keepers of best practices, project status and direction.


Governance

Our governance role includes monitoring of top 30 projects in order for the right people to have access to the right information and to make the right decisions. We ensure that projects are within the planned time and budget and that resources are utilized in the most efficient manner.


Transparency

We are responsible for regularly collecting and providing program/project statuses. Status information should be relevant and accurate, and at the disposal to all the stakeholders in a way that can be understood.


Reusability

We facilitate the sharing of knowledge. This stops project teams from reinventing the wheel and makes us the central point for lessons learned templates and best practice.


Delivery support

We support PMs during project delivery for all the top 30 projects We make it easier for project teams to do their jobs by reducing bureaucracy, providing training, coaching, mentoring and quality assurance.
